- (continued from previous page)of Ballymaclare. He had an awful pair of arms but he had no legs and he used to walk on his hands two miles to a shop in Cassagh for his groceries. He had a little garden; he used to dig it with a spade and sow potatoes and cabbage in it as good as anyone.
- In the graveyard in Ballykerogue there are the remains of what was once a chapel. The altar is there still and you can see a little cement cross on it.
People say that this cross was taken away several times but it always appeared back again
