  2. Once upon a time a white horse came out of Sammons' Lough. He went into Reilly's field in Monedarragh. Reilly caught him and worked him for about two years. One evening he was bringing the horse for a drink and he riding him. The horse got a sight of the lough. He galloped towards it. Reilly had to throw himself off the horse or he'd be drowned, because the horse jumped into it and was never seen after.
