    The Old Graveyards
    2nd June, 1938.

    There are two graveyards in my parish - one of them is situated at the parish Church in Abbeylara, and the other is situated at the Church in the townland of Carra.
    These two graveyards are still in use. The shape of both of them is an oblong. They were not very level but about six months ago both of them were levelled and put in proper order.
    There is one very old tombstone in Carra. It is there about one hundred years. There are very old ancient tombstones and crosses in Abbeylara, some of them
