    Riddles
    15th Nov; 1937.
    A riddle a riddle as I supposed, a hundred eyes but never a nose. Ans. A sieve.
    A kitchen full, a room full, and you couldn't catch a spoonful. Ans. Smoke.
    The more you take from it, the bigger it gets. Ans. A grave.
    A little white and round house, and it is full of meat, but has no doors nor windows to let me in to eat. Ans. An egg.
    As round as an apple, as deep as a cup, and all the men in Derry couldn't lift it up. Ans. A well.
    What is the smallest city in the world? Ans. Cork because it can fit into the head of a bottle.
    What stands on one side of the wood, and eats off the other side.
    Ans. A pig eating from a trough.
