    Buying and Selling
    25th May, 1938.

    Shops were not as common in olden times as they are now-a-days. People had to go to the nearest town to get their wants. Buying and selling was carried on after Mass, for instance if a man wanted to buy a rick of turf, hay, or any other article he would go to see it on Sunday after Mass and perhaps he might buy it or he might not.
    Money was not always given in exchange for goods. If a shop keeper wanted potatoes or any other article he would get them from a farmer.
