  2. Paddy Rogers was one evening with his father in the bog in Derrycassane. He was standing in the bog-[pass?]. He saw a [?] with a hand holding a candle out before her face. He told my father and he said they would go home.

  3. The Lawyer and the Monkey.
    Once upon a time there lived a lawyer and he had a wonderful monkey. His monkey used to do a whole lot of work for the lawyer. He used to lay the table and open the door for him and wash glasses.
