    people asked him to partake saying - "James eat this, James eat that." But a friend amongst the crowd whom he recognised warned him not to partake. At length, when James had refused to partake of anything one gave him a kick out. Then all became darkness, and he went his way home, but saw no more strange sights.
    Story (5)
    In the townland of Clooneen there once lived a man called Joe Ledwidge. There is a lane beside Clooneen School called after him.
    Every day a woman used to come to the door to beg a dish of meal. Though he gave her the dish of meal, still the bag was still as full as ever.
    The "good people" were supposed to have the "first" of the meal or what fell from the ears of corn before it was ripe.
