    of the neighbours. They landed in Liverpool and quickly discovered Judy. In the boarding-house was an old pensioner from the army (21 years service) named Colowan. A match was quickly made and Judy and her intended returned home. But on the way home they met a neighbour in Dublin called Maire Brogan. This Maire was a real character who wore a long beard like a man. They sold the passage to Maire for £1 who travelled to America in Judy Reilly's name. Gilmore in the meantime, was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Judy and Maire was known to him too, as being an impure character. Day after day
