  1. One time there was a woman who used to live with her husband in a small house in County Westmeath. There was a lot of men working on the road about the house. One day they asked her would she boil a loaf if they brought it to her, and she said she would and welcome. When the loaf was boiled one of them gave her 1/2 lb of tea to keep. When she got the tea she boiled a kettle of water and put the whole 1/2 lb of green tea in a bucket and out the water on it and left it to boil. When it was boiled she drunk it all and then she began to wash potatoes. When she had half the potatoes washed the pot began to go round, and the chairs began to go around and then the whole house began to go round and she began to go round, and then she began to roar and cheer. She was not long at that when her husband came in and she told him the whole story.
