decided that he should go to the parish priest in Newtownforbes and inform him of the apparition.
The parish priest on hearing the story told to go the same route and at the same hour again, and if he should see the ghost again to question it by simply asking "what do you want"?
He did not delay in carrying out the order of the priest, and when he was crossing the railway line, his uncle again appeared to him. He immediately asked him if he wanted anything, and the apparition replied that he wanted a Mass to be said for himself.
Next day he informed the priest and gave him an offering for a Mass for his uncle.
He travelled the same course often after that, but he never again saw the ghost.
