  1. The townland I live in is Bawn. It is a fairly big towns land there are about 27 families in it. It is in the Parish of Moydow.
    About the oldest man in the towns land is Michael Parkinson.
    He is getting the pension a long time. He has a short grey beard. There were a great many families more living in this townland but they have all died away. Long ago they used to have nick names on the people to distinguish one from another. There was a man whose name was Kelly but he always went by the name of "Leggins". Another man whose name was Derwin and he went by the name of the "Delicate Boy" and they also called him "the Body".
    There was another man whose name was Farrell and he went by the name of "Kimpis" and another Farrell was called "Moses". Then there were so many Wards in Bawn that
