    Before the bridge in Lanesboro was made the river had to be crossed by planks at Cureen.
    There is a pass way through fields from Blenavoher to Fermoyle school. There is a straight path through Peter Hanley's field, through Patrick Hyland's field, and through Patrick Hanley's fields.

  2. There is an old road on the north of Lanesboro which is called the Line. It was made in 1894. The line is called the tinker's and Gipsies road. When the line was made the pay was very small. It was only from threepence to sixpence per day. The women used to break the stones for it
    There was no road in Lanesboro long ago except the school road. It was the main road.
    There was a road leading to Newtowncashel. It was once where there is a field, now owned by Mr Patrick Farrell of Lanesboro.
    The bridge of Lanesboro was built in the year 1844. Before the iron bridge was built there
