There are the remains of a lime kiln in Mr. Tom Mulooly's field in Fermoyle. They used to break the stones and put them in the kiln. Turf was put in and lighted. It burned the lime stones into lime.
A man named Skelly used to catch snipes in traps. In frosty weather he used to make 3 & 5 a week.
