  1. There are four tailors in Ballymahon. The tailor is a man who makes men's suits and ladie's coats. The needle he uses is shorter than that of a dressmaker. His thimble is also different, it has no bottom. The dressmaker uses patterns when cutting out but the tailor drafts.
    The tailor sits on a bench all day with his legs crossed. He uses a very heavy iron for pressing. History tells us that Adam dressed in leaves and which required very little tailoring. The trade of a tailor is a very ancient trade. As the fashions change from time
