  1. There is a monastery in Ballymulvey. Many years ago it was destroyed by Cromwell's soldiers and there is a story told about it
    When the men came to take over the monastery one of them hanged three of the monks to a tree outside the monastery and in the next field there is a well, it is said that any time the man looked into this well he saw three fingers looking up at him. There are crosses over the door and the building is all gone to the four walls. People say a leaf never grew on the tree the
