  1. Girls' Toys'.
    In Summer when the daisies are in bloom, the girls make daisy-chains. They gather daisies, and get a piece of twine. They put a knot on the end of it and put the daisies on it. Then they wear it for a necklace.
    Boys' Toys.
    The boys make tops out of spools. They pare the end of it and put an iron spike in it.
    They also make guns. The boys get a bit of an elder tree and run a red iron up through the middle of it. Then they get a bit of ash and make a ram-rod for it and fire out of it.
