    We keep about thirty hens and we feed them with potatoes, meal and bran and we give them oats in the evening before they go to roost.
    Hens are very useful about the place because they give a great supply of eggs during the year but in the winter time they need great care to make them lay and they need hot food and hot oats.
    Early in Spring the people set the eggs to hatch and they usually put fifteen eggs to hatch, according to the size of the hen. When the people want to take the clocking off the hens they put them into a cage and
