  1. The fairs are held in Ballymahon every second Monday of the month. At the fair, cows, horses, sheep, lambs, donkeys, calves, and sometimes pigs are sold. The Friday before the fair there is a pig fair in the town and pigs are bought and sold on that day.
    When the buyers are buying cows from the sellers they slap the sellers on the hand and bid them an amount of money which the seller does not sometimes be satisfied with, then they keep on arguing until both are satisfied with the price of the animal. When
