    The farmer is a very busy man in Springtime. To prepare the ground for crops he has to plough it and then make drills and ridges, in which he sows potatoes. If he wants early potatoes he sows epicures and if he wants late potatoes he sows champions. When he is preparing the seed potatoes the first thing he does is he cuts them in two so that there will be an eye on each piece of potato, that he cuts. Before dropping the potatoes he spreads manure between the drills and ridges and then he drops the
