At last the day arrived the grooms went off in great style with the groom's man and the sidecar a little later the bride arrived with her bridesmaid. The marriage took place at the appointed time followed immediately by mass immediately mass was over the groom and bride and bridesmaid and groom's man went into the sanctuary to sign their names then there was a scuffle to get the first kiss of the bride. Outside the chapel all the relatives wishes then a great deal of joy the bride now gets up on the groom's car beside the groom now the bridesmaid and the groom's man on the other side. The procession started home to the bride's house a big breakfast was got ready by an army of women, since all the neighbours and relatives were invited, it was the middle of the day when the breakfast was over. Music and dancing began and preparations were made for a big "drive" all the cars were yoked to the horses the bride and groom led off again and the grandeur of the wedding was measured by the number of cars.
