  1. The local landlords were Bond's in Ardglas and Reid's after them. Baterby's in Rockfield, Rathaspic and Cromlin. Whitney in Newpass, Malones in Baronstown. They were settled three or four centuries. They were generally looked upon as being good Landlords. About twenty seven years ago the tenants got into a row with the agent of Ardglas named Harry Bong. He was boycotted for a year or two then it settled down. During the time he was boycotted they had a parade up to Rathaspic. They were blowing bottles when the police came upon the scene.
