Ringworm and Boils: 2 worth Epsom Salts, 2 worth cream of Canter, 2 worth alses. Put in a jug and cover with 1 pint of boiling water. Stir for ten minutes. When cool strain and put in a bottle One eggcup full is a dose.
Ringworm in cattle: The ringworm is brushed with a coarse brush then crushed blue-stone mixed with butter is put on the spot.
Jaundice.
A handful of primrose leaves, a handful of bluebell leaves a handful of daisy leaves and a handful of she-dandelion
Boil in five maggins of water till down to a pint of 1/2 maggin is a dose.
Falling sickness: Balara Herb.
Whitlow or Beling: Rose-noble herb.
2. Cut a hole in a lemon and wear it on the finger like a thimble
Pain in the back: A hare skin spread over the back.
Cure for bleeding. A cobweb spread over the cut.
Cure for baldness. Rub with nutmeg oil on the bald spot every night.
Cure for thrush. Wash the mouth with a small drop of spring water and a clean cloth.
Cure for lenache Pour a small chop of healed castor oil on cotton wool and put in the ear.
