- The rose is a round red lump or swelling.
A bottle of water, a bit of mud from a lake called Lough [unknown] in Meath cures the Rose.
A male person has to lift the water for a female, and a female has to lift it for a male.
The person who lifts the water is not supposed to look back at the lake after lifting the water until the sufferer is cured.
The invalid must give silver to the person who lifts the water.
