  2. Homemade Toys

    The boys made "slings" by getting a long cord and putting a small piece of leather in the middle of the cord. They used this for slinging stones.
    Toy Cribs: They made toy cribs for catching birds. By getting small pieces of sticks and make a crib out of them and put it lying on the ground on its side, put crumbs under it, have a long cord out of the crib. The boys hide somewhere that the bird cannot see them, when the bird goes into the crib the boys pull the cord and the bird is caught.
