    Drogheda road to the river Mattock, and is still know as "the Bleach". The Factory House where the looms were worked is still standing in good condition. The shed where the bobbins were kept stands beside the chimney and the drying shed, part of which is still to be seen, was in a field, now owned by Mrs. Hannatty. The pond, now over-grown with rushes, lies in the same field. The machinery was broken up and scrap-iron was made out of it during the Great War. The offices belonging to the mill have been made into dwelling houses.
    There were three corn mills on the Mattock, one of which on the Lower St. is still in use. This was owned by Mr. Sheckleton who lived in the Bleach House and one in
