  1. A man named O Rourke, used sit at the corner on a fair day in Collon, and make calve's baskets, and sell them.
    Pat Donegan, who owned the forge on the Ardee Rd. made gates and fire cranes.
    Owen and Pat Dorigan made the iron rails, which are still outside the shop windows in the village, and Pat's wife made lace.
    Weaving was carried on the old stores near the barrack, and also in the factory. John Mac Cormac, who lived in Hoey's house made churns, and barrels.
    Peter Lonard lived above at the factory made wheels.
    The linen, came to the "Bleach" first in yarn it was then boiled and cleaned, and sent away again, in then was sent back in bails of linen.
