  1. May the month of primroses, on May eve. the children cut down, a fir bush, or a nice, green round thorn bush, and puts it up in the flower garden, and then gather primroses, ties them in bunches and hanges them on the bush, and then they scatter some primroses round the doorsteps.
    From the ninth of June until the ninth, people go the Columcill's well, and pray there, they drink some of the water, and take a bottle full home with them, and this water will cure anyone of any sickness they may have throughout the year.
    On St Brigids Eve, a cross is made of rushes, and hung over the door until the following year.
