    A halfpenny is called a "make" a penny is called a "wing" twopence is a "duce" and a threepenny piece is a "kids eye", sixpence is a "tanner", a shilling is a "bob" a half crown is a "half dollar" five shillings is a "dollar" a pound is called a "quid".
    Some coins and types of money have gone out of use. These are a farthing, a fourpenny piece, tenpenny piece, four shilling piece, a half sovereign and a sovereign.
