  1. Marriages usuall take place in the month of June. It is said that it is unlucky to get married on a Thursday or Saturday. There is a an old proverb which people had long ago.
    Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
    Wednesday the best day of all.
    Thursday for loses
    Friday for crosses
    Saturday no day at all.
    About 70 years ago Matches were made in the district. If a man wanted to get his daughter married he would go to some man who had a son. He would ask him if he would let his son get married to his daughter. He would give the man a certain amount of money.
    A long time ago marriages were held in the brides house. After the wedding they would have the breakfast and for the rest of the day there would be dancing and singing
