  1. January - The people do not like you to go to their house on New Years day. They also say that it is not right to open a grave on that day.
1st February - On that night the people make a cross. Some of them make it of timber others make it of straw and rushes and more of them make it of alder.
17th March - On that day the people wear shamrocks on their coats.
19th March - On that day a lot of people go to Saint Joseph's Blessed well and perform rounds. The people say that we have March until the 11th of April. They also say that if March comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb.
1st April - is all fool's day. On that day people put each other on foolish journeys.
1st May - On that morning the people used to go for May water where three townlands were meeting. They people also used to bring in a Summer bush on that day. The most of the people used to lock their cabins on May night because it was a custom that the women would get up early and milk their neighbours cows. If you went into a neighbours house on May day and if the people of the house were making the churn they would not let you out until they have it made.
