  1. Cailín Deas Crúidthe na mBó
The sun o'er Ard Martin was sinking
T'was the eve of a soft Summers day
And the stars in the blue sky were blinking
As I through Rathmore made my way.
My thoughts on the old times were roaming.
When I heard a sweet voice soft and low.
Like the ceol sídhe that floats through the gloaming
T'was my Cailín Deas Crúidthe na mBó
    (ii)
I stopped and my tired heart went beating
As I list to each note soft and clear.
And in fancy I pictured the meeting.
If she only knew I were so near
For, for years I'd been over the ocean
And t'was poverty forced me to go
Now I've come back with wealth and devotion
to my Cailín Deas Crúidthe na mBó
    iii
I stepped till I stood straight before her
And gazed in her sweet comely face
Then a feeling of gladness came o'er her
As we met in one loving embrace
Oh! Céad míle fáilte a sthorín
She spoke with her cheeks all aglow
And I said you've true to me Noirín
My Cailín Deas Crúidthe na mBó
