    whatever person touches the rosary beads with her hand will be a nun before that time twelve months. Who ever touches the earth will be buried before that time again, and who ever touches the water, will cross the sea before twelve months' time.
    There are also many superstitions about the Eve of all Souls. If a girl recited the Our Father backwards walking downstairs with a mirror in her hand, it is believed that when she is at the bottom of the stairs, she would see a forecast of her affairs that time twelve months. On may night nearly all the farmers shut the cowhouses for fear of their neighbours coming to their cows, to milk them, and take the cream from them for that year.
    On little Christmas night it is believed that the cows talk to eachother.
    On St. Martin's day the people in every house kill some geese or cocks in honour of St. Martin and they sprinkle the blood in
