  1. Not many years ago a man was heading home through "Gloundeneeve" near midnight when suddenly he heard a noise after him, hee looked around and saw something which looked like a rolling object. He thought to himself that he would let it pass when suddenly a more awful shreik rang out so loud that he thought he should awaken all the people of the parish of Duhill. He stranp out a fence immediately and ran homewards. Another man is supposed to have seen the strange object again
