  1. The people of this district keep very old customs. People never dig the first sod of a frame on a Monday, they always dig it on a Sunday and finish it on Monday. Tailors never cut a suit of clothes on a Monday, the cut is on Saturday, and if they didn't, Monday would be tailors holiday.
A hair cutter never cuts hair on a Monday. People never kill a pig on a Monday. They never begin any of these works on a Monday.
