    About three miles south-west of Drangan there is a bridge called Gleann-na-muice-duibhe bridge,

    firm road.
    The site of our present church was the orchard of the castle. The old legends connected with the castle say that a crock of gold is supposed to be buried near the orchard house under a gooseberry bush in the field at the back of the church. Several attempts were made by inhabitants to get the gold by digging for it in the nighttime.
    About three miles south-west of Drangan there is a bridge called "Gleann-na-muca-duibhe" bridge, or the "Glen of the black pig". It is a remarkable thing that the mark of the devil's foot is on it
