    Magoury is situated about a mile outside Drangan.

    Magoury is situated about a mile outside Drangan. It is so called because in olden times it was inhabited by "black smiths". The king of these black smiths resides in the district. The land was level or more or less in a plain and thus it got its name "The Plain of the Black Smiths King".
