  1. Holy Wells
    In the parish of Lorrha there is only one Holy Well.
    This Well is situated a few yards from the road and is surrounded with trees.
    People visit this Holy Well frequently and have great belief in its cures, in particular the cure of sore eyes.
    The Well is called St Kieran's Well, and it is so called because Saint Kieran appeared there, and left the print of his knees on a rock near the Well.
    There are no special days laid out on which to visit this Well but people usually go there on the feast of Saint Kieran. There are no rounds performed, nor no special prayers said at the Well. There is a sacred bush over the rock, and it is here that people leave a piece of material when visiting the rock, but no food or
