    The bosses were made by getting a of hay and arranging so that it was a nice flat seat.

  2. Many types of industry were carried on this parish in former times, most of which are now discontinued.
    Candle-making was a house industry, and in many a country house could be seen hanging from the rafters bunches of rush pith drying.
    When the candle making day came round, the pot of melted tallow was got ready, the pith was inserted in the mould, the tallow was poured in, and, when hard the candle was withdrawn.
