A hedge-school was situated on the land of a man named Patrick lee, Ballinammiddy, Barna, Gall ally.It was taught by Jim Elest and his wife (Jane Lane).Irish, English, writing, and arithmetic were taught there. Teachers and pupils spoke Irish and he taught bilingually.
