    cured the throat. A cure for a toothache was this - to fill your mouth with cold water and bend over the fire until the water boiled inside your mouth. When this was done it was said you would never get a toothache again. Holy wells were also visited to obtain relief of certain ailments. The wart-well in Mr Creed's land was visited and the water was rubbed to the warts and it disappeared after a few days.
