  1. It is said if you leave one house to go to another on a Friday some member of the family will die. If you pay out money on a Monday you will be paying it out for the week. If you pay money on "handsel Monday" (the first Monday in the year). the person whom you paid it to will have good luck for the year.
    If any person out of a family die on New Year's Day, another person out of the family will die before the year is out. If it rains on Friday, it will rain on Sunday.
