This verse is sung many times. While they are singing they should run around.

Another game that we play is "In and out goes darkie the bell". A group of girls catch hands and hold them up very high. Then one girl goes in and out through the others singing a verse.
In and out goes darkie blue bell
darkie blue bell, darkie blue bell
In and out goes darkie blue bell
darkie bell.
Then she goes to a girls back and says
Tap rap rap goes on her shoulder
On her shoulder darkie bell
Then that girl goes in and out through the others after the first girl. This game is continued until there is no girl in the ring.
