  1. You remember Nano Bowles, Killavoy, who was buried a few years ago. She never married and I'll tell you why.
    When she was a little girl going to school, herself and her brother: they used to go up there the nearway to school every morning, past the fort there in their own land. Well, one morning a red haired woman came out of the fort, and tool the little girl in with her, and kept her there until evening when the brother was returning again from school. The red haired woman met him and left his sister home with him. She warned the two of them not to tell their mother and as they did not for a while for they were afraid of their lives. She used take the little girl into the fort every morning and keep her there until evening. The brother
