    more water and another potatoe or two were added. The supply was never let run out, until the cows calved in Feb or March. Poor people had to be content with it till milk got very plentiful. They got a gallon of skim milk then from the farmers every day if they asked for it. The old women passed less compliments on the skim milk that time than the housekeepers now on the Seperated milk.
    The Champions were the kind of potatoes mostly known 40 years ago. And 40 years ago here I think the generation were the same type of people as those that lived 80 or 90 years ago.
