    There was a Fr. Jerry Donovan in Courtmacsherry parish for a long time.

    There was a Fr. Jerry Donovan in Courtmacsherry parish for a long time. He lived in Connie Sowney's house in Brophy's farm in Lislevane. He had a boy, and one day a load of potatoes was brought to him. The load was sinking down in the wet yard. The boy said to Fr. Jerry "Sáidh, sáidh, t-anam ó'n diabhal, sáidh Fr. Jerry.
    Fr. Jerry was removed to Aughadown where he died.
