- Snares for catching rabbits are still being made in this district. Five or six strands of copper wire, about a foot and a half in length, are twisted together, and an eyelet is fastened in one end of the wire, and the other end is put through the eyelet, and thus the snare is made.
Slings and catapults were used very much formerly, but are now discontinued.
