- About forty years ago a cargo ship, having on board a cargo of silver and copper, sailed from Lima in Peru to Liverpool.
While off the Fastnet Rock a violent storm arose, and the ship tried to run for shelter to Schull harbour, but the pilot did not know the way very well, and the ship struck a small island, and she was wrecked; only one man survived the wreck.
The name of the ship was Lady Charlotte.- Bailitheoir
