  1. About forty years ago a cargo ship, having on board a cargo of silver and copper, sailed from Lima in Peru to Liverpool.
    While off the Fastnet Rock a violent storm arose, and the ship tried to run for shelter to Schull harbour, but the pilot did not know the way very well, and the ship struck a small island, and she was wrecked; only one man survived the wreck.
    The name of the ship was Lady Charlotte.

  2. A boy was drowned in the Ballydehob river, on the 29th June, 1910. This boy was swimming across when he got drowned in it. Patrick Collins was this boy's name. He lived near Ballydehob.
