  1. A few weeks ago everyone was talking around the town that there were lights seen in the school every night. The children were frightened and in the end a crowd of boys gathered together and went there to know would it be true. They went, and waited until the light shone again. Then they saw a white figure. They got afraid and ran home. The next night carried older men with them. Each carried a stick, and they watched until the light appeared again. One of them got courage, and stole up to the window of the school. There a white figure stood in front of him. He called his companions to him, and they followed the ghost. They boys were too quick for the ghost, and caught the sheet and took it away from him. Then they found out that it was a neighbour had come to play a joke.
