  1. Once upon a time Carriganass Castle was occupied by an English army and their captain was by the name of St. Ledger. He was not afraid of anyone but Donal Cam from whom he had taken the Castle. One day he and his army were hunting in the mountains around Keimaneigh they met a lovely lady. St Ledger kindly saluted her and asked her to marry
