Páirch na h-Abhann:- As there is a river flowing through the field. Páirch na Sgeithe:- As sgeach trees are growing in the ditches of the field. Páirch na Tolátháin:- As toláthans are in the field.
There is only one river flowing through our land and that is An Caol. It is called An Caol as the river is very narrow in many parts. It separates Lissane from Tooreen.- Collector
